Letter written from Pendleton [Pickens County, S.C.] instructing attorneys Lathan and Leonard re securing aid for nine Revolutionary War soldiers listed by name, with brief notes re their military service: Benjamin Gilbert, Robert Miller, Richard Gulley, William Day, John Winn, Levi Phillips, Edmund Singleton, James Young, and John Wilson. Ohio was one of the more desirable regions for compensation to military veterans for the American Revolution.
